About the Characters

TRENT

Trent is the protagonist and appears the most often in the strips. He’s a well-meaning, enthusiastic and awkward guy and loves life online more than offline. He also has a blog which he updates regularly, and can’t ever seem to land a girlfriend.
MEI

Mei is a Type-A personality girl. She’s a go-getter and never takes no for an answer. She’s currently dating Khan who’s from out of town, and she has a mean streak of violence. She’s also the person who introduced Trent to blogging, and despite appearing to be a party girl, seems to do the bulk of the housework in their apartment.
L.J.

L.J. is sorta like Trent’s best buddy, but their friendship can be strained at times. He’s into all kinds of vices and loves nothing more than to pick on Trent’s hobbies and opinions. He also appears to have some form of relationship with Liza, although this does not seem very tangible.
LIZA

Liza is nerdy and studious and very clueless about life, both on the internet and otherwise. Her understanding of the most basic concepts are flawed and unusual and she’s painfully oblivious to this fact. She has had a number of unexplained encounters with extra-terrestrials, but whether or not these creatures are real or merely figments of her imagination remains to be seen…

About this Comic
I started t-n-t in October 2007 after 3 years of writing a personal blog with a tiny daily readership of about 50. I was tired of blogging, as it was stale and really got me nowhere, and it was a glorified online diary.
Drawing comics was not a new thing for me, as I’d doodled some random cartoons when I was younger, mainly for my sister and a few close friends to read. But t-n-t was the first time I’d actually used a computer as part of the comic-making process, so I was basically starting from scratch.
The comic’s premise was based on my experience as a blogger and my years living with a bunch of other students. The characters were loosely based on me and my friends, but have evolved into personalities of their own. The premise itself has changed; less focus is placed on blogging and more on the clashes between life online and offline.
The comic strip consists of loosely-related gags and currently, 1 long-form storyline.
